Director: Anthony Hickox
Stars: Julian Sands, Chris Young, Paula Marshall
Every six hundred years, a great evil has the opportunity to escape and unleash Armageddon. A group of five stones has the power to either free the evil, or banish it for another six hundred years. An order of Druids battles with a Warlock determined to unleash his father upon the world.
This is a rarity where the sequel is better than the first movie, especially in a horror movie. I think what really made this one better was the female lead. The female lead in this movie was so much better. The acting was better and the creation of this character was better than in the first movie. The female in the first movie was filled with acting, and the character was just too stupid and silly to make it all work. This female lead was still a scared woman, but she did not act all stupid. She played the deep gothicish girl that was needy and confused. You know the type. She plays the same character a lot in movies. She helped make this movie better.
Julian Sands came back to play the warlock again for the sequel. He was a bit better in this movie than the first one. Paula Marshall, like I said, was so much better in this movie than the female in the first. She is type casted a bit, but for the 90's her look work to her favor in the movies.
I liked this movie, so much better than the first, but that is not really saying much. In my opinion, this movie is just average. It is not the best, and it is not the worst. It is just there for the viewing. Enjoy.
