In a distant galaxy, planet Spaceball has depleted its air supply, leaving its citizens reliant on a product called "Perri-Air." In desperation, Spaceball's leader President Skroob orders the evil Dark Helmet to kidnap Princess Vespa of oxygen-rich Druidia and hold her hostage in exchange for air. But help arrives for the Princess in the form of renegade space pilot Lone Starr and his half-man, half-dog partner, Barf.
This is one of the best movies that Mel Brooks has ever made. He hit a homerun with this one. This is the best parody of Stars Wars that has ever been made. I do not think that there will be a better parody of it. Brooks renamed and cast the best actor for the roles from the parody of the Star Wars characters. He nailed it. The jokes in the movie were more adult and sexual at times, so it may not be for all audiences. I think that it is.
The cast for this movie was the best in comedic talent. Brooks lined up himself and some of the best comedians to parody the Star Wars characters. I mean just look at the list. The worst part of it is that we have lost a few of those people. The performances in the movie are great. Even the smaller characters and parts later became big names. This parody had what it needed to be a success, talent.
This is one of the funniest movies that Brooks has made. The movie has the writing and the talent to deliver those lines. There is nothing wrong with this movie. If you have never seen this movie, then you really need to. You are missing out. Enjoy.
