A gadget salesman is looking for a special gift for his son and finds one at a store in Chinatown. The shopkeeper is reluctant to sell him the "mogwai" but sells it to him with the warning to never expose him to bright light, water, or to feed him after midnight. All of this happens and the result is a gang of gremlins that decide to tear up the town on Christmas Eve.
This was one of the best movies when it came out. Almost every kids with to see this movie at the cinema. It was a "scary" movie for little kids. When this movie came out, you could not go into a store and not see merchandise from the movie. Gremlins were everywhere. That was not a bad thing though.
The movie was great. It was set at Christmas time, so you have the snow and all of the Christmas lights all over. It really set the scene for the movie. You have the "mogwai" that is the cutest little creature created for a movie. There are some gross and scary parts of the movie for little kids. This movie has something for everyone.
The cast for the movie was really good. There were no complaints about any of them. My favorite actor to see in the movie was Polly Holliday. I love Flo, and to see her as a hateful mean woman was shocking. She is so good. I just wanted her in the movie more. This movie was one of Corey Feldman's first movies. This movie had a really good cast. Most of them were great character actors.
