In the late 1960s and 1970s, fear grips the city of San Francisco as a serial killer called Zodiac stalks its residents. Investigators and reporters become obsessed with learning the killer's identity and bringing him to justice. Meanwhile, Zodiac claims victim after victim and taunts the authorities with cryptic messages, ciphers and menacing phone calls.
This is the story of the Zodiac killer that hunted for people in the San Francisco Bay area, and he was never caught. He taught the police and the newspapers about his killings in code, but no one was ever close to catching him. In the movie they think that they know who did it, but the reality of the story is that the man in the movie that they thought did it was later cleared. No one knows who murdered those people.
The look of this movie was a bit dark and intense because of the subject matter. The entire story is one sided, since we only have the stories from the journalist and the police that were in the case, as well as the murder victims themselves. The killer was never caught, so we do not get to see into his mind and understand what was going on in his mind. That alone would be a whole another part of the story that we all would love to know about.
The cast for the movie was really good. They all did a great job in the movie. I mean, I do not think that one did better than any other. They were all about equal. The only real problem with the movie was that it was pretty slow in pace. It is a movie that you really have to keep up with. It is an interesting movie, but most of the movie is a lot of dialogue which turns many people away. I know.
This is a movie for crime buffs. Those of us that love a good crime story. The sad part about this movie is that no one knows how it ends at all. They is just that big question mark at the end. This movie is well worth watching, but you really have to stay in there. It can be a bit dull at times. Enjoy.
