Ghostbusters (2016)

Director: Paul Feig

Stars: Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth, Bill Murray, Michael McDonald, Annie Potts, Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson

Paranormal researcher Abby Yates and physicist Erin Gilbert are trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann for help. Also joining the team is Patty Tolan, a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out. Armed with proton packs and plenty of attitude, the four women prepare for an epic battle as more than 1,000 mischievous ghouls descend on Times Square.

This is the female remake to the all male cast of the 80's classic comedy hit Ghostbusters. When this movie was announced, people were just not having it at all. They were taking this classic movie, and they were recasting it with female leads, so that made a lot of men very upset. Somewhere in their minds women could not make the same movie, and it be good and funny. They were proven wrong. This is a funny movie. I really had no complaints.

The cast was so good. These women were funny, but not all of them were that funny. You would think that Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig would have been the funniest ones in the movie. They were not. They are known for their comedy. Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones were the funniest ones in the movies. Their lines were the best and the way that the lines were delivered were the best. I was just really surprised by this. Chris Hemsworth was hot and funny. Who knew he could do that.

The coolest part of the whole movie was the special effects for all of the ghosts. It was so awesome to see. The colors that were hit you from the screen were amazing. The ghosts showed up so much more with the use of color than you would think. There are tons of ghosts popping out all over. That was what the original was missing. It needed more ghosts. This movie was filled with them, and they did not look cheesy at all.

I know that there was a lot hate around this movie. I just do not understand that at all. I think it well worth watching. I really liked it a lot. Just give this movie a chance. Enjoy.
