Hard-partying brothers Mike and Dave place an online ad to find the perfect dates for their sister's Hawaiian wedding. Hoping for a wild getaway, the boys instead find themselves outsmarted and out-partied by the uncontrollable duo. Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates is inspired by a true story of Mike and Dave Stangle.
This movie is mostly about two douche bag losers and two leeches. Mike and Dave are basically two assholes whom only think of themselves and their own pleasures. They just screw up everything that they touch. They meet Alice and Tatiana. They are just sad lonely girls that just want a free vacation. When they meet, it was mostly a bad time had by all.
Here is another movie where Zac Efron has his shirt off a lot. Don't get me wrong, that is not a bad thing at all. This time Adam Devine joins him. They are both hot furry men that are shirtless a lot in this movie. That is what really sold the movie. I mean, just look at the movie poster. It is of the two of them passed out with their shirt opens. Sex sells. Zac Efron is lusted after for his looks, not his talent. Now Adam Devine is being sold for his quick wit and his body. It was the main reason that I wanted to see the movie.
This movie was just fair. The makers tried way too hard to make this movie funny, but it turned out more juvenile frat boy crap than just good smart writing. There was just too much whining and screaming than I care to listen to. It seemed like this movie was just thrown together for money only. After you watch it, you will see what I am talking about.
The cast was good in a not so good movie. Zac Efron was there to look really good shirtless. He was great at that. Adam Devine looked good in this movie. He was thinner and more built. I was just glad neither one of these men shaved his chest for the movie. Good for them. Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza were good at playing trashy young women looking to use these two guys for a vacation. They were both a wreck in this movie.
This movie is worth watching once for all the hotness, other than that, it is not really worth it. It is a little funny, not much at all. It is something to watch, if there is nothing else on. Enjoy.
