100 Bloody Acres (2012)

Directors: Cameron Cairnes, Colin Cairnes

Stars: Damon Herriman, Angus Sampson, Anna McGahan, Oliver Ackland, Jamie Kristian

The use of dead car crash victims in the Morgan Brothers' "Blood and Bone" fertiliser has been a huge boon to business. But it's been months since their last find and an important new customer is waiting on a delivery. When Reg Morgan, the junior partner in the business, comes across three young people stranded on a remote country road, he sees a radical solution to their supply problems, and a way of finally gaining the respect of his bossy big brother, Lindsay. But things don't quite go to plan when Reg starts forming an attachment with one of their captives, Sophie. Reg must now make a decision: go through with the plan and finally win Lindsay's approval, or save the kids and destroy everything the brothers have worked for. They're not psycho killers... they're just small business operators.

This movie is a comedy/horror. The only problem about the movie is that it is not funny or scary. There is nothing really scary in the movie at all. There are no jumps or scares in the movie. It is not even funny either. There are some funny scenes in the movie, but they are not laugh out loud funny, like you would think. The "funny" scenes are more slap stick than filled with funny conversations. I am not saying this is a bad movie, not at all. I really did like this movie.

The story is a little out there to some degree, but the two main characters make up for the story. To see Lindsey attack and dominate Reg throughout most of the movie was worth the trip. Reg just did not really have a backbone of his own, until some girl helped him find his balls.

The special effects in the movie was pretty damn good. Most of the horror movies from Australia have been really good. They go this distance when they make a horror movie. A lot of American horror movies just do not show all of the gore that you really want to see. The Aussies just go there. You get to see more blood and torture in their movies. I love that. Like with this movie, the story might have been a little weak, but the gore made up for what the story was lacking.

This was a really good movie. I was really surprised by how good the movie was. It may be a bit hard to find a copy to watch, but if you can then watch it. It was worth the watch. Enjoy.
