Teaming up with the mysterious yet peculiar Goldmember, Dr. Evil hatches a time-traveling scheme to take over the world, one that involves the kidnapping of Nigel Powers, Austin's beloved father and England's most renowned spy. As he chases the villains through time, Austin visits 1975 and joins forces with his old flame, Foxxy Cleopatra, a streetwise but stylish detective. Together Austin and Foxxy must find a way to save Nigel and stop Dr. Evil and Goldmember from their mischievous mayhem.
This was the last movie in the Austin Powers trilogy. It was also the worst of the three movie. This movie just tried way too hard to be as funny as the first two movies. The movie had its moments, don't get me wrong. It just was too much. The movie just tried too hard to be funny.
Most of the characters are back for another movie. Goldmember is the new bad guy in this movie that loves himself and gold. It is not that original at all, but this movie is just another parody of a James Bond movie. Mike Myers portrays this character as long as three other characters. The other new character in the movie is Foxxy Cleopatra which is played by Beyoncé. I do not understand why in the hell they casted her for the role. By this time I was already getting tired of seeing her all over the place. The same part is that it just got worse after this movie. They could have gotten tons of other better and more talented singers for the role, but they stuck with who was hot and trendy. It was cute to see Fred Savage as number three.
This is one of those movies that is worth watching to just finish the trilogy or if you are just going to watch all three movie in one day. By itself, it is just an average comedy. It is not the best or the worst. Enjoy.
