When Nancy is surfing on a secluded beach, she finds herself on the feeding ground of a great white shark. Though she is stranded only 200 yards from shore, survival proves to be the ultimate test of wills, requiring all of Nancy's ingenuity, resourcefulness, and fortitude.
She is told by two guys out surfing that it is too late, and the tide is about to come in. This woman decides to go against what the locals tell her. She is in another country, and she needs to listen to people. She knows better than the other. She just has to go out one more time, because there is no tomorrow. Whatever. She just gets stupid, and then she has to pay for it. I mean, she was asking for it by not listening. Those guys were hot and could have taken her out. She wanted to surf one last time in the middle of nowhere in Mexico. That shark knew about her and was going to get her. She could have been having drinks and fun, but no, she needs to catch another wave. I bet she regrets that decision.
The movie itself was made really well. The shark looks real for the most part. The whole movie takes place in this cove, so there really is nothing to visual see in the movie but the cove. It does not make for a visual feast for the eyes. You see a lot of water. It does not make the movie visual stimulating at all, but at least there are some "thrills" in the movie. You knew what was going to happen in the movie. There was no shock or surprise in the movie at all. It plays out just as you may think it will.
This is a movie to watch once, and that is it. It is not worth watching a second time at all. This movie was a bit of a letdown to me. She didn't even know that raw crab will make you sick. She was stupid. I know some of you will watch it. Tell me what you thought of it. Enjoy.
