In the town of Cutter, most people keep to themselves. But when John comes home to find his girlfriend missing, he becomes suspicious and sneaks into his secretive neighbor's house to find several kidnapped people in the cellar. He must lead them out of the house of horrors before his neighbor returns.
This was not a bad movie at all. When the movie starts, it seems like it is going to be about a couple of drug dealers have an exchange go terribly wrong, but that is not the story. There is a family that is kidnapping woman for ransom money, instead of any of them getting real jobs of any kind. I mean that is one way to make money, but what a sick and twisted thing to do to a family. It worked great for a story though.
If they wanted to, they could have easily a very sick and twisted movie, but that was not the story. It would have been really fun to watch though. There is not torture and gore in this movie. It is mainly made up of scares, but the thought of this movie is scary. Just look at how poor and desperate something people are. Something like this could really happen.
The biggest surprised of this movie was seeing Bill Engvall. Yes, you read that right. The comedian with the redneck blue collar show is in a thriller/horror movie. The best part is that he is the bad guy in the movie. Who would have thought to ever see this happen. The rest of the cast was great. It was all pretty believable.
This was a pretty good movie. I was really surprised by it. I was not expecting what I saw. This movie is well worth watching. If you can find a copy, watch it. Enjoy.
