New York police are bemused by a spate of reports of a giant flying lizard that has been spotted around the rooftops of New York, which they assume to be bogus until the lizard starts to eat people. An out-of-work, ex-con piano player is the only person who knows the location of the monster's nest and is determined to turn the knowledge to his advantage.
The Q stands for Quetzacoatl, a winged serpent from Aztec mythology. Outside of that, the Aztec connection isn't that great. But the idea of a monster living in seclusion in New York, feeding on sunbathers and the like, is rather bemusing.
This movie is a more modern day monster movie. Like the monster movies in the 50s and 60, they were cheesy as hell, but they were so good. This movie did not disappoint at all. You have this giant winged creature killing people all over the city. The creature made it's nest on top of the Chrysler building. The look of the creature was not the best, but it did look pretty cool for what it was. The only real problem with any of the movie is there is not more of the creature. You just want to see more of this creature fling through the air picking people off the ground or out of building and eating them. That is what you really want more of in the movie.
This is one of those movies that you will either love or hate. It is not for everyone. The movie is not bad at all, it is just cheesy as hell. I really do like movies like this. This one was not too bad. It is well worth watching. Enjoy.
