Alien 3 (1992)

Director: David Fincher

Stars: Sigourney Weaver, Charles S. Dutton, Charles Dance, Lance Henriksen

Ellen Ripley is the only survivor when she crash lands on Fiorina 161, a bleak wasteland inhabited by former inmates of the planet's maximum security prison. Once again, Ripley must face skepticism and the alien as it hunts down the prisoners and guards. Without weapons or modern technology of any kind, Ripley leads the men into battle against the terrifying creature.

I have a love/hate relationship with this movie. Out of the series, this is my least favorite one. Don't get me wrong, I love this movie. It is just too slow at too many parts in the movie. It is not as good as the other movies at all. This is just opinion though, so remember that.

The story for the movie was not bad at all. I mean, she was just floating through space looking for a place to land. She was asleep the whole time, so her or Newt knew what was going on. They just landed on a prison of only men that have not seen a woman for years. Really? It sounds more like a porno movie than a sci-fi movie.

The aliens in the movie were more active and had much more movement than the other two movies. The aliens were swimming and jumping out of the water. It made the movie more exciting and action packed. The look of the movie was good and solid with a rusty brown tone to the whole movie.

This was supposed to be the last of the Alien movie, so Sigourney Weaver produced the movie. She came back to play Ripley one more time, and this time she really did shave her head for the movie. The rest of the cast was alright. I mean they really did act like a group of mean and crazy monks more than prisoners. That is the main parts of the movie was the interaction between the people themselves in the movie. There were too many of those conversations that dragged the movie along, painfully at times.

I like this movie, but I will watch one of the other ones first before this one. It just is not my favorite movie of the series. It is worth watching, if you have never seen it before. You may like it so much better than the others one. Who knows?. Enjoy.
