Folk hero the Bandit has fallen on bad times but comes to life when he is hired to help transport a pregnant elephant to a Republican convention in Dallas. Arch-enemy Sheriff Buford T. Justice catches wind of the deal and resolves to spoil the Bandit's comeback.
This sequel is just another high speed chase across part of the country. The Bandit is being chased again by Sheriff Buford T. Justice, but this time Dom DeLuise has joined the show with an elephant. An elephant is not funny, but thankfully Dom DeLuise is funny. There are a lot of the same jokes and stunts that were in the first one were included in this one. That was pretty common back in those days.
There was some trouble between some of the actors during the filming of the movie. There are times where you can see glimpses of the tension between some of them. This one was not a good or funny as the first, but it hardly ever is.
This was a good movie, but it is as deep as a puddle. This is a movie about racing and not getting caught. There is not much of a story at all, but it is entertaining to watch. It was the beginning of the 80's, so we do not expect that much from the movie. Enjoy.
