Director: Ken Wiederhorn
Stars: James Karen, Thom Mathews, Michael Kenworthy, Suzanne Snyder
The horror begins as mysterious barrels bounce off an army transport and land near a new housing development and an abandoned cemetery. Mischievous neighborhood boys open the barrels, unaware of the evil within. A green vapor escapes, turning the living into zombies and the dead into human-preying nightmares.
This zombie outbreak started with some stupid kids being nosy and messing with a government barrel with a dead body inside. Who in the hell with mess with something like that? I have seen too many movies as a kid to know better than to mess with stuff like that. Those two "bad" kids look like straight up white trash anyway. They treated that younger boy so bad, and they were so mean to him. They deserved what they got.
It was great to see James Karen and Thom Mathews in the sequel. That was the best part of the whole movie. In the first movie, they were working in a warehouse, and in this one they were stealing from the dead. I do not know of another movie that has brought back two main characters from the first movie, have them both in the sequel, but they changed their names and characters. It was just great.
The special effects and the look of the living dead was not as good as the first, but it was still great though. There was even a lot of comedy from the living dead in this movie. They even did a dead Michael Jackson in the movie. That was a nice touch.
This time the sequel was more of a comedy than a horror movie. It was still great at being both though. I really do love this movie. It is worth seeing and owning a copy of it. Enjoy.
