Russell and his younger brother Rodney live in the economically-depressed Rust Belt, and have always dreamed of escaping and finding better lives. But when a cruel twist of fate lands Russell in prison, his brother becomes involved with one of the most violent and ruthless crime rings in the Northeast a mistake that will cost him everything. Once released, Russell must choose between his own freedom, or risk it all to seek justice for his brother.
This was a really long revenge movie. I mean, these movies have been done over and over again, and they have been made better than this one. The pace was so slow for this movie. There was no need at all for this movie to be over two hours long.
The movie had a good cast that did a mediocre job in their roles. The whole cast of characters suck. I did not like any of them. Most of the characters were straight wannabe hood white trash. The men in the movie had this straight man attitude that just made no sense at all. Wasting money on wild bets with a bookie and fighting. I do not get why people would act that way. I would have just gotten out of jail and just left town and not looked back. That is always the best and safest way. Men in those type of situations will pick the harder way of life to make a point and risk their life or freedom.
This movie was maybe worth watching once, but that is just my opinion. The movie was made well. I just found the movie to be too slow and dull too many times to be worth watching over again. Enjoy.
