On the eve of his high school graduation, unremarkable Will Kidman finally bonds with the girl he has long yearned for, reclusive Eliana Wynter. But he also discovers a dark secret from his past... that he is about to become a werewolf. Now, in an effort to fight destiny and save their love as well as their lives, they must battle not only Will's growing blood lust but an army of fearsome beasts bent on killing them.
Werewolves in high school. This is something more new than any other story from the Howling movies. This movie had nothing to do with the series at all. This one was made more like a real movie than some of the others were. It is more of a high school horror movie. They could have called this movie by any title, and you still would not have known that it was a Howling movie.
The story is a bit weak for this movie. Will does not turn into a werewolf until he hits 18. Where does that make any sense at all. Why would it wait until then? I think that it would hit earlier in life. Where did all of these other teenage werewolves come from? Has she been hiding them somewhere? This movie has more questions than answers. At least the werewolves did not look that bad. The special effects were okay. I mean the budget was not that big, so they did what they could.
This movie was not bad. It is worth watching once, but I just do not know about watching it over and over. You may like it. Enjoy.
