When the USS Enterprise crew is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one-man weapon of mass destruction. As our space heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left, his crew.
This was a great sequel. I was just blown away by the story and the movie itself. This movie was a fast paced action sci-fi movie. This movie did not let down at all. It seemed like it was not going to stop. The action just kept on going.
I was glad to see that they added Kahn into the story for the sequel. They kept it true to the original movies. That made me so happy. Benedict Cumberbatch was so good as Kahn. I know he is no Ricardo Montalban, but he still did a good job in the movie.
I'm so glad that the cast came back for the sequel, but if they did not they would stupid to pass up that check. They were still great in their roles.
The special effects were better in this one, but it was made later than the first one. I do not want to give anything away of the movie, so that is why the review is so vague. It is really good. This is a movie that needs to be added to the collection. I mean the 3-D copy. It will look awesome. Enjoy.
