Saving Christmas (2014)

Director: Darren Doane

Stars: Kirk Cameron, Darren Doane, Bridgette Cameron

Kirk is enjoying the annual Christmas party extravaganza thrown by his sister until he realizes he needs to help out Christian, his brother-in-law, who has a bad case of the bah-humbugs. Kirk's fresh look at Christmas provides Christians the chance to see Christ is where He has always been: at the center of our Christmas celebrations and traditions.

After watching this movie, I could understand why it was voted the worst movie ever made. I have never seen a movie that was so preachy in my life. A sales conference would have been less annoying to sit through, than this movie. This is a terrible movie, and it has nothing to do with the movie being religious at all.

Most of this movie takes place in a house while a Christmas party is going on and in the front of a SUV. It is mainly visually boring. There were scenes that were telling the story of the meaning behind some of the Christmas traditions and where they are found in the Bible. I'm serious that was really discussed in the movie.

I know that they were trying to keep Christ in Christmas by explaining where they were trying to come from, and I get it. They just went about it all wrong. It felt like you were being hit in the head with a wrecking ball bathed in baby Jesus. It was just too much. It was so overwhelming. The worst part of the movie was they were not trying to convince anyone to like Christmas or Christianity. They were all in love with both, so what was really the point of this movie. What were they really trying to save.

Kirk Cameron is still trying to stay somewhat relevant to the screen and television. He voices his hate filled words on television whenever he can with a big smile on his face of course. He just always seems to just want to make a point. He got a Christian University to help fund this movie. He just seemed so desperate to get this out there for all to see. I think most of the extras in the movie went to that college. It would make some sense.

This is the worst Christmas movie that I have ever seen. It was just so bad. It is not worth watching at all. I watched it, so you don't have to.
