Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past, and he's not sure if it's love -- or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard, Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.
This movie, like the others, follow the one before, so it does pick up after the last. This one was not as good as the others. It was still really good, but it was just a bit slower which made it harder to really pay attention to. There were just a few sections that were not needed for the movie. It was the whole section with the mermaid. I did not think it was necessary for the main story.
The cast was somewhat the same, except for the addition to Penélope Cruz. Why? She is not very good in any role. I think she is over rated. I never understood the appeal to her at all. I just could not believe that Keith Richards came back for this one. I mean he looks the part of an old pirate, so it just work well for him. I was really surprised by how well he did in the role. Who would have known that he would be able to pull it off.
Again for this movie, the special effects were incredible. They are always great for these movies. That is what helps make these movies so popular. This is still a good movie for the whole family. Enjoy.
