Zootopia (2016)

Directors: Byron Howard, Rich Moore, Jared Bush

Stars: Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, Tommy Chong, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Shakira

In a city inhabited by anthropomorphic animals who have abandoned traditional predator/prey roles in favor of civilized coexistence, uptight rabbit police officer Judy Hopps is forced to work with charismatic fox con artist Nick Wilde to crack a major case involving the mysterious disappearance of some carnivorous citizens. But when a few of the missing critters reappear, having reverted to pre-enlightenment savagery, it exposes existing anti-carnivore prejudice among the city's herbivores that threatens to damage the fabric of their diverse metropolis.

What a great Disney animated movie. This movie was just so good. I really had no complaints about this movie at all. Well, I do not understand why Shakira was in this at all, but I did not make it, so.... It was still really good to watch, and it was a good movie for the whole family.

The story for this movie was all about enemies trying to live together and to work together. That is one of the best messages that could be sent to kids. They need to learn tolerance in any way possible. They have to get it somewhere. You have a rabbit and a fox becoming best friends, and they are living among other normally dangerous animals that could kill them.

The animation and the creation of the animals were top notch for a animated movie. It is Disney after all, and they have some of the deepest pockets in the business. The story was really good. The action scenes in the movie were planned out to the t. The voice work was not too noticeable. I mean, you were not sitting there really trying to figure out who is doing what voice.

This was another hit out of the park for Disney. They came through again and made a great family animated movie. I do recommend everyone to watch this movie. Enjoy.
