Spectre (2015)

Director: Sam Mendes

Stars: Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw

A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia, the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE. Meanwhile back in London, Max Denbigh, the new head of the Centre of National Security, questions Bond's actions and challenges the relevance of MI6 led by M. Bond covertly enlists Moneypenny and Q to help him seek out Madeleine Swann, the daughter of his old nemesis Mr White, who may hold the clue to untangling the web of SPECTRE. As the daughter of the assassin, she understands Bond in a way most others cannot. As Bond ventures towards the heart of SPECTRE, he learns a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks.

This is the only Bond movie that I found a bit forgettable. It just did not have what it needed to make a great James Bond movie. It was a generic action movie. You could have put another name for the title and the characters, and you would not even know the difference. That is so bad. The Bond movie have always set themselves apart from other action/spy movies. You could always tell which movie it was. This one was like every other action movie that is made now days.

There was just too much gruesome violence and death scenes in the movie. I know it is an action movie, but did it really need to go that far? It was a bit much for a general audience. This movie was made for more of an adult audience. It may be too much for children to see.

Daniel Craig was part of what was wrong with this movie. He has still not changed his facial expressions in this one. It is the same most of the time. He has asshole face. Just look at his lips. He has the face of a cat's ass. There is not that wink or side grin that is in all of the Bond movie. He just will not do it. He makes the character way too serious. It makes the movie where it is not that fun to watch.

This was a forgettable movie to me. There was more that was wrong with the movie, but it was just too much to add here. It would make the review way too long for no good reason. I know that some of you will still watch this movie regardless. I am just warning you. It is not a rewatch at all. Just watch it once. Enjoy, maybe.
