Sisters Kate and Maura Ellis are summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house, much to their dismay. Looking to recapture their glory days, they throw one final high-school-style party for their classmates, which turns into the cathartic rager that a bunch a ground-down adults really need.
This movie was made to team up Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Maya Rudolph in a funny movie. It was big Hollywood cashing in on their funny talent. They are great at playing off each other. It is a movie with a very short simple story with almost no plot, that is really funny. There are several funny scenes in this movie.
This is an examples of Hollywood trying to cash in on the comedy of Amy Poehler and Tina Fey on the different award shows and other television shows. It almost paid off. When the announcement of the this movie came out with their names on top. That sold the movie itself. The public was going to get a movie with both of them starring in it.
This movie has a great cast. They grabbed as many funny people as they could to make a comedy that will sell. It worked, but it is not like those older comedies back in the day that last the test of time.
This movie is still good. I just do not think that it will be remembered. It is worth watching. I just do not know, if it is really a rewatcher or not. I would like to think it could. Give it a shot, if you have not seen the movie. Enjoy.
