Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007)

Director: Gore Verbinski

Stars: Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, Geoffrey Rush, Jack Davenport, Bill Nighy, Jonathan Pryce, Tom Hollander, Naomie Harris

Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann allied with Captain Barbossa in a desperate quest to free Captain Jack Sparrow from his mind-bending trap in Davy Jones' locker, while the terrifying ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman and Davy Jones, under the control of the East India Trading Company, wreaks havoc across the Seven Seas. Navigating through treachery, betrayal and wild waters, they must forge their way to exotic Singapore and confront the cunning Chinese Pirate Sao Feng. Now headed beyond the very ends of the earth, each must ultimately choose a side in a final, titanic battle, as not only their lives and fortunes, but the entire future of the freedom-loving Pirate way, hangs in the balance.

Here is the third installment of the franchise, and we get a movie that is worse and better in different ways than the previous movie. The story for this one is pretty weak. It just is barely there with any substance. Sparrow is trapped, and they are going to find him. Will is going to save his father. That is what the movie is really about, but there are some side stories that start to take over the movie. We get to see a war between the pirates and the English Navy.

What made this movie so good was the special effects. There were movie of them, and they were better and more elaborate than the one previous. The scenes with the whirlpool in the middle of the ocean was perfect. You get to see the creation of new member and the old member of Davey Jones. They still look so good. I mean this is what makes these movies so good. It is the special effects and the action scenes are so good.

This is still a great movie to add to the series of movies. They are still good for families to watch together. This is still another to add to your collection, if you have not already. Enjoy.
