Keller Dover is facing every parent's worst nightmare. His six-year-old daughter, Anna, is missing, together with her young friend, Joy, and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in. The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had earlier been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, Detective Loki arrests its driver, Alex Jones, but a lack of evidence forces his release. As the police pursue multiple leads and pressure mounts, knowing his child's life is at stake the frantic Dover decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. But just how far will this desperate father have to go protect his family.
This is one of those movie that I cannot say too much of the story, because I do not want to give anything away. This was a really well made and put together thriller/drama. this movie will keep you guessing on what is really happening, and what is going to happen to all of the characters. I know I am being vague.
The cast was the best part of the movie. They collected a wonderful mix of dramatic actors to portray these roles. Viola Davis was the best in the movie. I know she is pretty great. She was not in this movie a whole lot, but she outshined in it. You really feel sorry for her. The only real disappointment in the movie was Jake Gyllenhaal. There was just something about his character and the way he acted it out, that just did not sit well with at all. It was just off putting when you see him in the movie most of the time.
This is a really good movie. I do recommend it to all. It is a longer movie with a lot going on in it. You change how you feel about the characters through the movie. If you have not seen this movie, then by all means watch it. Enjoy.
