Story of the night that Mary Shelley gave birth to the horror classic Frankenstein. Disturbed drug induced games are played and ghost stories are told one rainy night at the mad Lord Byron's country estate. Personal horrors are revealed and the madness of the evening runs from sexual fantasy to fiercest nightmare. Mary finds herself drawn into the sick world of her lover Shelley and cousin Claire as Byron leads them all down the dark paths of their souls.
This was a slow and boring horror movie. It really does watch like a light Playboy horror movie. The sets and the decoration in the movie are top notch. It is a set decorators period piece dream. The movie had a great cast. It was just the speed of the movie that always just took me out of the story. I love this story by the way. I just think it has been done so much better, since this one was made.
I just think this story has been done better. This is one of those movies that was lightly advertised when it came out, so I was interested in it, but it just sat there on the shelf. If you are interested in watching this movie, then you should. I warned you though. It is a slow movie. Enjoy.
