Buddy was a baby in an orphanage who stowed away in Santa's sack and ended up at the North Pole. Later, as an adult human who happened to be raised by elves, Santa allows him to go to New York City to find his birth father, Walter Hobbs. Hobbs, on Santa's naughty list for being a heartless jerk, had no idea that Buddy was even born. Buddy, meanwhile, experiences the delights of New York City (and human culture) as only an elf can. When Walter's relationship with Buddy interferes with his job, he is forced to reevaluate his priorities.
This is one of these movies that I had desire to watch this movie. I'm not a Will Ferrell fan at all. This movie just seemed too silly for me to sit though. I finally watched it, and I have to say that I did like it. Even though, there were some scenes that were a bit too much and over the top, it was still a good Christmas movie.
The cast for the movie was well performed. It really was. You really did believe in the movie and the characters. Peter Dinklage is the only person in the cast that I still do not understand why he is in movies at all. He is so overrated in every way. Do people think he is funny just because he is a little person? That is not right at all. He is not funny. The rest I liked a lot.
Watching this movie gives the feel of Christmas. This is a great family Christmas movie to watch every year. It has it all family, Santa, belief and love. It may give you that warm feeling inside. Enjoy.
