In Cameroon, a group of hunters is attacked by a wild animal, and Charlie Cowley survives but sees his brother Scott dying. Hyperbolically, seven years later, his teenage nephew Derek Cowley steals the key of his stepfather's cabin in the isolated Fire Road 13 and travels with four classmates and his friend Sam to spend the weekend having a party with booze and sex. However, they are attacked by a beast that kills his friends in a sadistic way. Sam and Derek survive, and they suspect that his stepfather, Mitchell Toblat, is a werewolf. When Charlie meets Derek and Sam, they decide to collect evidence to prove that Mitchell is the beast and kill him, but Mitchell discovers their plot and chases the trio.
I know this is a B rate horror movie, but it was not that bad at all. It is still a werewolf movie, and it is getting closer to Halloween. It is the time of the year for all of the cheesy ass horror movie to come to surface.
The cast and characters are pretty generic. I do not think that any one person could have made this movie better, unless they were super hot and nude the whole time. The is the only way. The biggest surprise of the whole movie were the killings. They were great and terribly bloody. At times, it was a gore fest, but for the most part it was too much talking and not enough killing.
The best and worst part of the movie was the werewolf, itself. When you finally get to see the transformation, it is one of the worst that I have seen. It is the worst computer generated creature to be made for a movie. It is very obvious. When the actor was in the costume and make-up it was better. It still looked a little cheesy, but it was passable. In this movie, the werewolf talks and has sex. That was a bit odd, but it was not a negative. It was more of a surprise than anything else.
This is one of those cheesy werewolf movies that I think you should give it a chance. It is not the best horror movie, but the killing and the gore is well worth watching. You are wanting the werewolf to get these "kids". They are really that annoying. Enjoy.
