Blade (1998)

Director: Stephen Norrington

Stars: Wesley Snipes, Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson, Donal Logue, Traci Lords

In a world where vampires walk the earth, Blade has a goal. His goal is to rid the world of all vampire evil. When Blade witnesses a vampire bite Dr. Karen Jenson, he fights away the beast and takes Jenson back to his hideout. Here, alongside Abraham Whistler, Blade attempts to help heal Jenson. The vampire Quinn who was attacked by Blade, reports back to his master Deacon Frost, who is planning a huge surprise for the human population.

Here is the true first rated R comic book movie. People thought it was the Deadpool movie, but they were sadly incorrect. Blade was mainly just known as a horror vampire movie, but not really a comic book movie, since it was not a widely known popular comic book series.

The movie is good and fun to watch. There is just something about the movie that just did not set well with me, and no, it was not because it was a black superhero comic movie. You racists. LOL. It is Wesley Snipes and Stephen Dorff. I think that is what it is. They are both really bad actors in this movie. Stephen Dorff has always been a bad actor. He just goes over the top with all of his roles. He does not even talk. He just yells and scream out his lines. It was really obvious ion this movie. Wesley Snipes spoke all of his lines in a low gravely whisper that you could barely hear and understand at times. You just had to turn up the volume on the television.

For the first of a trilogy, this was not a bad movie. It is worth watching, especially if you are a big comic book fan. It is worth watching at least once. Enjoy.
