One Dark Night (1982)

Director: Tom McLoughlin

Stars: Meg Tilly, Melissa Newman, Robin Evans, Adam West

A strange man named Karl Rhamarevich dies shortly after discovering a way to become even more powerful in death through telekinesis. On the night of his burial in a crypt, Julie is to spend the night there as part of an initiation rite, supervised by two other girls. The crypt becomes a scene of horror as Raymar returns to life and deploys his horrifying telekinetic powers, with coffins sliding out and splintering open to release decaying bodies on Raymar's command. As part of an initiation into a club called the Sisters, a young girl must spend the night in a mausoleum. The bodies soon begin to menace the three girls trapped inside.

This is a great cheesy horror movie from the early 80's. This is not a bloody or gory movie at all. It mostly deals with a lot of darkness and shadows. There are a few jump out at you scenes, but there is nothing scary about this movie at all. If you really think about how creepy it would be to locked up inside a mausoleum over night, it would be really scary. It would bother the hell out of me, personally.

They got Adam West to be in this movie, because he wanted a role and no one would cast him. They still looked at him as Batman. You have the great Meg Tilly, who will more on to star in some great movies, then disappear. The rest of the cast is just there, but I loved the girl that keep a toothbrush in her mouth.

This is a fun horror movie to watch with a group of friends. I never said this movie was great, but it is good to watch. Enjoy.
