The 24th Day (2004)

Director: Tony Piccirillo

Stars: James Marsden, Scott Speedman, Sofía Vergara

A widower, Tom, had tested positive for HIV. He tracks down the only man that he had sex with,  a former one night stand named Dan. Tom holds him hostage and forces him to submit to an AIDS test.

This was originally a play in LA. This movie teaches you to be careful with one night stands. Dan was the type of man that as long as he looked good and clean, then he was going to have sex with him. Tom is not an innocence one either. He is still in the closet, and he has no idea if it was Dan that gave it to him or his wife. He is just taking out all of his worries and anger on Dan. He is pretty screwed up himself.

The acting in this movie is pretty good for an indie movie that really didn't go anywhere. That was the most impressing part of the whole movie. The amount of dialogue that each actor had to learn and make the audience believe that it was all real for the moment was some of the best work that I have seen in a movie.

This is a nice movie with a bit of a twisted message. People just need to think about going home with someone, before they do it. You just never know who you will meet or who is out there. You just might find yourself in a situation like this. Enjoy.
