A zombie outbreak has fallen upon the land in this reimagining of Jane Austen's classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England. Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is a master of martial arts and weaponry and the handsome Mr. Darcy is a fierce zombie killer, yet the epitome of upper class prejudice. As the zombie outbreak intensifies, they must swallow their pride and join forces on the blood-soaked battlefield in order to conquer the undead once and for all.
I am not a fan of Jane Austin to start with, so let's just get that clear. I am not a big fan of English period movie either. Saying all of that, this was not a bad movie. I just do not get the point though. I know that they did this with Abraham Lincoln. Why would you want to do this type of mixing with Pride and Prejudice? It was a time of prim and proper ladies, not women that could kill a thing. They did not even get their clothes dirty then. They barely went outside. They were not prepared to kill zombies.
This movie was decent to watch once. It was not by far the best zombie movie out there. It is not even in the top twenty. It is almost worth watching once. It is pretty slow in several parts of the movie. There was not a lot of blood and gore in the movie. That is what you want to see in a zombie movie,
gore. It just did not have it. I think it was a bed mixing personally. Watch it if you must.
