A 12-year-old orphan Peter is spirited away to the magical world of Neverland, where he finds both fun and danger, and ultimately discovers his destiny and his real mother. He will become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.
This is a prequel to Peter Pan. Did we really need this in our lives? Did anyone really care how it all happened? Not really, since this movie bombed. This is not really a movie for kids. They sing in parts of it. How many kids can tell you what their favorite musical is? None, because most do not like them. This movie was made more of a family movie than a kids. It is really an action movie for uptight adults.
The movie looks great. The special effects are wonderful. Your see the ships flying in the air, and fairies all over the place. Here is my issue with that. Why do they make the prequels look better than the one that it is leading up to? Most of the prequels that have been made look better than the first movie. It does not make any sense to do that. If you cannot make the movies blend together somewhat, then maybe you should not even make it in the first place. I'm just saying.
This movie had it all. You have a good cast, brilliant effects and action. The one thing that they left out was a better story. It was a short story that they really stretched out was too far. This movie is worth watching once, and that is it. It just was not that interesting. Kids might like it. Enjoy.
