The night after his funeral, Bart, a soldier killed in Iraq
gets up out of his grave and seeks out his best friend Joey. At dawn Bart's
body falls to the floor, only to reawaken the following dusk. He and his buddy
decide that he is a revenant: an articulate zombie that needs to drink blood to
arrest the decomposition of his body. They go out to take the criminals out of
the city.
This is a really cool movie. It has it all: an interesting
story, very dark humor and some great gore. What could you ask for in a horror,
comedy zombie movie. I had never even heard of this movie, but it was well
worth watching. The story is simple and to the point. There is not a shocker or
anything like that. It is not your normal zombie movie. There is a twist, but
that is what makes it so good. I was getting so tired of anything with a zombie
in it. This movie brought in some fresh air.
This movie almost makes you wish that it could really
happen. The people that you see on the news: those muggers and rapists. You
want a zombie to come and take care of them. He was only getting rid of the
trash.
If you can find a copy of this movie, you should defiantly
watch it. This may be one of those movies that you would want to buy. I know I
do. Enjoy.
