Star Wars Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)

Director: J.J. Abrams

Stars: Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Max von Sydow

Thirty years after the defeat of Darth Vader and the Empire, Rey, a scavenger from the planet Jakku, finds a BB-8 droid that knows the whereabouts of the long lost Luke Skywalker. Rey, as well as a rogue stormtrooper and two smugglers, are thrown into the middle of a battle between the Resistance and the daunting legions of the First Order.

It just seems like this did not happen. They made another star Wars movie that was not a prequel. I just could not believe it. After all of the talk and all of the hype, it was finally here. A new Star Wars movie was coming to theaters for Christmas. What a better Christmas present to all sci-fi fans than Star Wars. Here was the problem with it. Was it going to be as good or better than the other movies or was it going to be equal? I think it was equal with some of the others. It is a really cool movie.

The best part about the whole movie was the cast. They got back the main cast. I know it was not that hard, since  Harrison Ford is the only one still busy. The rest is not so much. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher all came back to play their roles. They just not do it without them. They could still have made it, but it would not have the same impact. It would not be the same.

My one real complain dealing with the movie was how the media was handling it. Who knows if all of the rumors were true. It does not really matter. It bothered me when I start reading some people had complaints that the main guy in the movie was black. Are you serious? People were upset over that. Does they think that black people are going to be wiped out in the future? Or is it because there was only one black man in the original movies? Then it was being said that some of the characters are gay or will be written that way in the next movie. I read some stuff that a young woman was going to save the day in the movie. Who in the hell cares! This is what I read before seeing the movie. It was all over social media.

If people were not racist, sexist or bigoted, then we would not have to worry about reading such stupid crap about a movie. There is something wrong with people. That these are the things that really bother them in life.
I am not going to be that ass and give away all of the details. I know that has been done so many times. These people just do not think about anything. It is a great movie to continue the saga. The special effects were top notch for the movie. It was so worth watching it in 3-D. The replacement for Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, was pretty damn cool.

This is a movie to add to your collection when it comes out. I know I am going to. I just wish they would have made this movie twenty years ago when they were younger. It would have been great. Enjoy.
