When detective Eric Matthews is called to a crime scene of a victim of Jigsaw, he finds a lead to the place where he is hidden. Once there, he realizes that Jigsaw trapped his son Daniel Matthews with three women and four men in a abandon house, and they are inhaling a lethal nerve gas. If they do not use an antidote within two hours, they will die. Eric follows with increasing desperation the death of each member of the group in monitors, while trying to convince Jigsaw to release his son.
In this sequel, the action really is amped up from the first movie. You get to see the real Jigsaw, and the puzzles and games that he comes up with to test people. It is really so sick and twisted stuff going on in this movie.
These people wake up in this house not knowing whom each other are or background. They have to play this game to get out alive, but there is one mean brut that does not play well with others. The rest of the group try to work together, but there is always that one or two that screw everything up.
In this one you get to see Jigsaw for the first time and realize who he is. He was in the first one, but he was playing dead the whole time. The cops have Jigsaw, but they have to find these people on the monitors and the detective's son that is one of the people in the house. There is so much going on in this movie that it is like a crazy rollercoaster. You have two stories that intermingle with one another.
The traps and the special effects are great in the movie. The look so real that it makes your skin crawl watching each person try to get out of a trap. I will not spoil it for those that have not seen it yet.
This is a great sequel to start off a series of many more movies. I thought this was a great movie. If for some reason you have not watched this movie, you really need to. It painful to watch at times, but that is what makes it so good. Enjoy.
