We Are Monsters (2015)

Directors: Sonny Laguna, Tommy Wiklund

Stars: Hanna Oldenburg, Ralf Beck, Niki Nordenskjöld

Emma is a businesswoman coming from Australia to the U.S to sign a controversial oil contract. On her way to a press conference, she jumps into a taxi. Soon after, to her surprise, she is attacked and drugged by the taxi driver. She wakes up tied to a chair in a filthy cabin. Emma soon learns she's the night's amusement for a man named Jim and his loyal associates Pete and Shirley. She must now do everything she can to survive.

This kind of movie has been done so many times. This one did not add anything new at all. I was hoping for something a little bit better. Like the other woman should have been in it more. What was even the point of her being in the movie at all? One of the other guys could have driven the taxi. It would have been easier and made more sense.

The main problem that I had with this movie was the plot or lack thereof. There nothing really explained at all why all of this was going on. In a world where they explain too much in movie, there was almost nothing in this one. It made the movie seem more pointless.

The torture and violence in the movie were pretty good. I just wanted something different than the same old ripped off story. This movie is worth watching once, but that is all I will give it. Enjoy.
