Jim and his girlfriend Kelly are driving to Willow Creek to film footage for a documentary that Jim is working on. Kelly has decided to join, since she is an out of work actress, and it is Jim's birthday. There are heading to the stop that over 50 years ago footage was shot of Bigfoot walking through the woods. He wanted to see if they have any sightings for themselves. The road is blocked by a fallen tree, so they walk to a spot to camp for the night. There first night camping in the middle of the woods does not turn out how they planned. Something is out there.
I guess this was a found footage movie, but I have no idea how the footage was found. The whole movies was shot by the two main characters. The story is very simple, a couple goes camping in the middle of the woods, and something happens to them. The odd part of the movie is the man stopping them while driving on the trail to yell at them and tell them to turn around. It just had no point to the story at all. It did not make the story more scary or anything even close to that. There was just no point in it.
The scenes in the tent were pretty creepy. Don't worry, I am not going to give anything away. It made me jump a couple of times. The scare factor was in the movie, but it is not a terrifying movie by any means. You will just maybe think twice about camping in the middle of nowhere.
For Bobcat Goldthwait to take a plunge into the found footage movies, he did a pretty good job at it. It is a movie to watch once. I do not like these types of movies at all, but this one is one of the few good ones out there so far. Enjoy.
