In the 19th century, a village is attacked by a werewolf leaving mutilated bodies all over. The town has offered up a reward for killing the beast. A group of hunters come to the village asking for a larger reward for killing the werewolf. Daniel is an apprentice for the local doctor, and he joins the group of hunters. The doctors has concerns for the Daniel's safety for several different reasons.
For a werewolf movie, this one is not terrible. It is nice to see the story go back to the past days of Eastern Europe, than in the modern day Hollywood. You get the real feel of the time period of the movie by the sets and costumes. Other than that the movie is a bit boring. There is so much pointless dialogue in the movie that the whole movie just slows down for the viewer. You get to the point where you hope everyone gets ripped to pieces. The werewolf was completely CGI all the way, but it looked decent at least.
This is not a great werewolf movie at all. It is watchable, sort of. If you are a diehard werewolf movie buff then by all means what it, if not then skip it. Enjoy or not.
