In 1972 the senior class played a really cruel joke on a fellow classmate, Walter Baylor, that sent him to an insane asylum. It's the class of 72's ten year class reunion at Lizzie Borden High. Everyone has shown up to the party. A doctor from the asylum shows up to announce that Walter Baylor has escaped and it at the school looking for revenge.
This was one of the early Lampoon movies that did not stand the test of time. The movie is making light of the horror reunion movies from the 70's and early 80's. The cast is from up and coming actors from the day that never really went anywhere. Stephen Furst was in Animal House, but kind of disappeared that decade. The rest of the cast will be recognizable, if you watched a lot of movies from the 80's. The cast was still good. Zane Buzby, who played Delores, was the funniest part in the whole movie. Her scenes are the best out of all of them. Part of the movie seem a bit cheesy, but her scenes make up for the whole movie.
The characters in the movie are great. Each one having nothing to do with the other. It seems like none of these people would have been friends at all at any point in time. Every personally is well developed for each person. You get the feeling that you may know some of these silly people. The wonderful John Hughes wrote the screenplay for the movie, so there you go. That is why the character develop is there for a silly movie. He knows how to write a movie.
This is not a movie that you will find playing on cable networks, but if you can find it on or a copy, then give it a chance. It is a movies worth watching, maybe even a few times. Enjoy.
