This movie is based on the book by the same name. This documentary looks into the foundation and the creation of the global Church of Scientology. The life of the founder L. Ron Hubbard and his personal history is discussed as well as how he started his church. All though this documentary, people are interviewed that were in the upper and top ranks of the church. The politics and behavior of this "religion" is examined from everyone to see the truth in the church. The stories that are told seem out of this world, but these people have lost it all, and some stories are very sad.
This was so interesting to watch. I have always been interested in cults, and the more extreme the cult is the more I love it. The sad part is how many people believe in this nonsense that these people tell them. They all drank the Kool-Aid, before they find out the truth about what the church really believes in. They say it is God, but they all lie. A science fiction writer created a religion to make money, so he really did not have to work. He was a hard worker at writing, but that is where it all stopped. He was a nut job.
There is some great information in this documentary. It is very interesting to watch. I know that no one that is involved in the church will read this, so I am not worried about it. Enjoy.
