A group of friends living in West Hollywood deal with love and lust and the little things in life. Dennis is a aspiring photographer about to celebrate his 28th birthday. Benji is more or less a punk club guy that hangs at the gym too much. Howie is a psychology grad student who is not too comfortable with himself, and he still sees his ex-boyfriend. Cole is the aspiring actor that can not commit to one guy, but he is the one with the charm and looks. Patrick is the average looking guy that thinks bad of himself and sometimes a downer. Taylor has just split with his boyfriend and close to a total meltdown. All of these guys play on a softball for the restaurant, Jack's, that some of them work at. They are trying to find love and deal with each other.
It's not the best gay movie out there, but it is a good one. The cast is good with a good script. That is all though, good, not great. It was just surprising to see the actors in a low budget gay indie movie. The movie is full of big names.
John Mahoney putting on a dress to sing at his restaurant. I would never think that he would play a gay character. You mainly only see him portray assholes in movies. He is always a character that you don't like, so it was nice to see him take on this role and make it work. Jennifer Coolidge had one of the smallest parts in the movie, but I love her. She does a lot of small movie. All she did in this was to fake cut hair.
Good movie, but do not expect anything amazing at all. It is a good movie to watch with friends. There are no sex scenes at all. Only a few scenes of some of the cast shirtless, so you can watch this movie in front of anybody. Enjoy.
